Do you feel that you would like to make a greater contribution to society - that you’d like to give something back?

Volunteers play an important role at Hohepa Canterbury, and in many instances they receive deep and satisfying experiences in return.
We welcome applications through international social service placement schemes.

We seek volunteers who can help our staff and residents with:

  • Farm and garden activities on our 40 acre Organic Farming and Horticultural Unit
  • Cooking and baking in our tutorial kitchen
  • Computer literacy training
  • Recreation, music and sporting activities
  • Drama production and staging
  • General property maintenance

  • Attendance at induction and training programmes
  • Participation in the special character of Hohepa festivals, performances and events
  • A sense of belonging and community with others
  • Recognition and celebration of your contribution to Hohepa community life
  • Ongoing support and supervision
