Currently residential services are provided for 67 residents in 16 houses situated at the Barrington Street site known as 'Birchfield' and in the close vicinity, and at the Halswell Farm. There is a good variety of support in the homes, dependent on individual needs and capabilities.

Staffing varies according to resident requirements, with some facilities having double staffing twenty four hours a day. Where residents are higher functioning they may receive full or part-time single staffing assistance.

The main criteria for residence is that the person should be diagnosed as having an intellectual disability, have New Zealand residency and be eligible for a residential support subsidy as determined by a Needs Assessment Co-ordination Service.

The residences all contain four to six bedrooms and are surrounded by lawn and gardens. The main campus contains housing, a Day Base and Recreation Centre. It fronts onto Barrington Street, which is a busy road serving the surrounding suburbs. Bus stops and the local mall are within an easy walk.

The Day Base is an activity and community participation centre, containing activity rooms, a computer suite, dining area and catering facilities. The Recreation Centre is a large hall, designed with the same double centred elliptical concept that the Goetheanum evolved from. The building also houses five therapy rooms which encircle the main auditorium.

Three residential houses are located on the Farm at Halswell. Here residents have the enjoyment of living in a housing cluster set amongst forty acres of paddocks containing livestock and horticulture.
