A memorable aspect would be undoubtedly the ‘silent meal,’ where we remember the Last Supper. The seasons are all celebrated. - autumn harvest festival being a favourite, with festivities held on the farm. Maypole dancing in summer sees support workers, residents and day attendees alike weaving their streamers into the desired patterns, not without a little help at times! Many family members and friends, also part of the Hohepa community, loyally support these gatherings.

Birthdays too, are eagerly anticipated; particularly the milestone 'big zeros!' Celebrating these helps to strengthen the sense that we each have a biography which we create.
